Course Overview
What separates strong student writers from struggling ones isn’t ability — it’s the quality of instruction they receive. This course draws on the Hochman Method from The Writing Revolution 2.0, a framework used by effective educators across grade levels and content areas to teach writing through sentences, outlines, and essays embedded directly into existing content.
When students learn to write with clarity and structure, they learn to think with greater precision. Constructing precise sentences, organizing logical outlines, and developing well-supported arguments builds cognitive habits that support achievement in every subject. This course positions writing not as an add-on but as a central part of strong instruction — something every teacher can do regardless of content area.
About the Authors
This is a graduate-level course intended for K–12 educators who have completed a bachelor’s degree. It is recommended that you receive board or district approval before registering with TPAI.
