Districts need an AI approach that is practical, consistent, and scalable across schools. K12PD offers a structured, modular PD program that supports implementation across a district and includes year-long AI coaching support for staff.
Built on 25 years of K12 teaching experience
Developing and delivering teacher PD
Licensed staff access under one agreement
Districts choose the delivery track that best matches their current level of AI readiness, starting with either Intro to AI or Differentiating with AI or moving up to a full day of professional development.
Each module includes about one hour of asynchronous coursework and about one hour of guided practice with the AI coaching tool. Pacing may vary by teacher, but each module is designed to fit within a standard PD day, staff meeting block, or implementation schedule.
Every teacher in the district receives 12 months of access to AI coaching tools for supporting multilingual learners or gifted learners, based on the track selected by the district. There are no per-seat fees.
No building-by-building purchasing and no per-teacher licensing. One district agreement covers all teachers across all buildings, with one invoice, one point of contact, and a simplified purchasing process.
Each track is designed as a coherent professional learning sequence, not a menu of disconnected sessions. Districts choose the track that best fits their current level of AI readiness, available time, and budget. Most tracks include year-long coaching access aligned to the selected population module.
A focused single-module option featuring either a foundational AI module or a population-specific content module. Designed for districts with limited time, limited budget, or those looking for a practical entry point.
Best for: First step, limited budget, focused rollout
Intro to AI paired with a population-specific content module. This track helps staff build a common foundation before moving into classroom application.
Best for: Districts beginning AI implementation
Differentiating with AI paired with a population-specific content module. This track moves directly into practical classroom use for staff already familiar with AI basics.
Best for: Staff already familiar with AI basics
A complete sequence that combines foundational understanding, instructional strategy, and population-specific application. Districts may include one population module or both, depending on their goals, staff, and schedule.
Best for: Full-staff PD, strongest implementation arc
Universal modules that build AI readiness across staff
Builds foundational vocabulary and comfort with AI tools from the ground up. Designed for teachers who are new to AI in practice, with no assumed knowledge and no unnecessary jargon.
Moves beyond what AI can do to how it can be used strategically for classroom differentiation. Focused on practical application for teachers who already have basic familiarity with AI.
Where K12PD goes deeper, with content built for specific learner populations rather than adapted from general differentiation
Practical AI strategies for extending and enriching learning without requiring a separate curriculum. Focused on the day-to-day instructional challenges gifted educators face in real classrooms.
AI strategies for more inclusive classrooms, with a focus on supporting instructional assistants, special education teachers, and general education staff working together.
Pricing is based on district size and the delivery track selected. The District PD Guide includes the full pricing grid by district size and track, along with what is included at each level.
A focused entry option built around one module of your choice, either an AI foundation module or a population-specific module. Includes year-long coaching access when a population-specific track is selected.
Two modules paired to match your district’s current level of AI readiness, whether that means starting with foundational AI understanding or moving directly into classroom application.
A complete sequence combining AI readiness, instructional strategy, and population-specific application. Districts may include one population module or both, depending on priorities and schedule.
For larger districts or more tailored implementations. Scope, module sequence, and pricing are built around district priorities and rollout needs.

K12PD was built from real classroom practice, shaped by 25 years in K12 education and seven years of teacher professional development design. Informed by experience in multilingual learning and gifted education, it was created to provide the kind of targeted AI support schools have been missing: practical, population-specific, and grounded in instruction.
Generic AI tools produce general answers. K12PD combines structured professional development with coaching tools designed specifically for multilingual learners and gifted students, so teachers get support that reflects the students in front of them.
There are no live sessions to coordinate, no substitute coverage to arrange, and no building-by-building rollout to manage. Teachers complete the asynchronous PD within the district’s schedule, then continue using the coaching tools throughout the year.
K12PD is priced competitively with other professional development options, while offering more built-in follow-through than districts often expect, including year-long coaching access aligned to the selected track.
Once the agreement is in place, the district receives a teacher access link and a brief implementation guide. Staff complete the asynchronous modules and use the coaching tools on their own schedule. No IT integration, LMS connection, or special software is required.
Yes. Schools can begin with a single-building model, and districts exploring a broader rollout can discuss expansion options based on their goals, staffing, and timeline.
You will have a direct point of contact rather than being routed through a support queue.
Questions receive a same-business-day response for anything substantive, and district partnerships include a scheduled check-in during the year.
Yes. Purchase orders are accepted, and invoices can be issued against an approved PO with net-30 terms.
The coaching tools are purpose-built for school use, not generic LLM access. Each coach is grounded in population-specific pedagogy so staff receive support that is more instructionally useful, classroom-relevant, and aligned to the learners they serve.
Any licensed staff member in the district can access the coaching tools during the term of the agreement. There is no cap on active users and no per-teacher billing trigger.
Yes. We are happy to talk through your goals, staffing structure, and rollout options before implementation.
The ML module reflects widely used multilingual frameworks, including WIDA and ELPAC. The GT module is grounded in established gifted education research and practice. If your district has specific alignment requirements, those can be discussed before implementation.
The District PD Guide is a short PDF with delivery tracks, module descriptions, and pricing by district size. It is designed for easy review and easy sharing with a curriculum team or budget decision-maker.
If you have a specific question, include it in the message field and Darren will respond directly.
The guide is meant to stand on its own. If a conversation makes sense after that, it can be scheduled from there.
