Course Overview
Tucker and Novak draw a direct parallel between teaching and architecture — the same way an architect asks countless questions to design a home that fits, teachers need to understand how each student engages with information, works best, and shares their learning. This course combines two frameworks that make that kind of personalization possible: Universal Design for Learning and Blended Learning.
UDL removes barriers by designing flexible learning experiences from the start. Blended Learning creates the structure for delivering those experiences in and out of the classroom. Together, they give you a practical system for engaging all students — not by creating thirty different lesson plans, but by building flexible pathways into the ones you already have.
About the Authors
This is a graduate-level course intended for K–12 educators who have completed a bachelor’s degree. It is recommended that you receive board or district approval before registering with TPAI.
