Course Overview
Over 60% of children have experienced some form of trauma, crime, or abuse. You’ve likely seen the impact in your classroom — students who can’t manage emotions, struggle to relate to others, or shut down without warning. The connection to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) isn’t always obvious, but the effects are everywhere.
Souers and Hall focus on those effects rather than the causes, since every student responds to trauma differently. Built around the mantra “if it’s predictable, it’s preventable,” this course walks you through twelve specific strategies for supporting trauma-affected students and building the kind of classroom resilience that helps them find success.
